Tenn. Dam Repairs Proceed with Safety Measures in Place | ASCE SmartBrief
Repairs to Boone Dam remain on track for completion in July 2022 even as workers take precautions against the spread of the coronavirus, the Tennessee Valley Authority said. "It's just altered the way we communicate onsite because anyone who's not directly involved with the construction work, meaning the actual drilling and concreting on the dam ... is not onsite," said TVA spokeswoman Mary Ellen Miller.  Full Story: Johnson City Press

WSP Says Seattle Bridge at Risk of Collapse | ASCE SmartBrief
Rapidly growing cracks along girder walls, ceilings and floors on the West Seattle Bridge could converge and cause the span to collapse if swift action isn't taken, according to engineers at WSP.
