Amid Virus Concerns, Cities Struggle with Need Versus Fear of Bus Services | KRCRTV.COM
As cities grapple with dealing with the spread of the coronavirus, they are also faced with a major transportation question: are city and municipal buses helping to spread the virus? In San Francisco, a city spotlighted nationally for its aggressive effort to stop the spread of the virus early on, a union chief representing city bus drivers says a complete shutdown may be needed. Roger Marenco told the local ABC TV station, "We need to stop the spread of this virus and maybe shutting the system down for a couple of weeks would be the way to go."
