Two Houses and a Road Collapsed Along the Tennessee River in Hardin County | Jackson Sun
Fissures appeared in a Hardin County road Monday after two houses collapsed along the Tennessee River following days of heavy rainfall. Glendale Road is closed from Chalk Bluff Lane to Small Road as officials wait to see how much of the roadway will be swept away by the continuing landslide. Hardin County Emergency Management Director Melvin Martin said no other properties are at immediate risk, but homes near the river will always be at the mercy of flooding and ground erosion.
